Description
Students will use this balancing a checkbook activity to practice calculating credits and debits when given a “life happens” scenario. Examples of scenarios include: going to get gas and getting birthday money from grandma!
There are two versions of the activity included so students have different dollar amounts. Assign one version to half of your class and the other version to the other half.
This activity includes 8 real-life scenarios and a blank check to be filled out! This activity can be done as a whole class – display the scenarios and have students fill in their checkbook registers or independently – give students the scenarios page or expenses presentation and have them do it on their own!
Includes:
- A link to the digital activity on Google Slides including student directions
- A PowerPoint version of the activity that can be uploaded to your LMS of choice
- Printable Version of the Balancing a Checkbook Activity
- Detailed directions for how to share the activity with students for Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive
